In the Creed we read: "He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead." At what time does this judging occur? Directly after death or at a later time?

There is a particular judgment at the moment of death, and there will be a general judgment at the end of time. The particular judgment is more like the kind of courtroom judgment we think of when we hear the word “judgment” - a determining of guilt or innocence.

At the moment of our death, we will be judged and our eternal destination - Heaven or Hell - will be decided. As it says in Hebrews 9:27, “...it is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment.” We can see particular judgments for Lazarus and the Rich Man after their deaths (Luke 16:22-23). Paul laments how he would prefer to leave his body and be with Christ rather than stay here on earth (2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:21-23), implying a particular judgment at the moment of death. We also see Scripture speak of the spirits of the just who have been made perfect and are already in Heaven (Heb 12:23), again implying a particular judgment after death.

However, the word "judgment" is often used to mean "vindication" or "defense." The general judgment, or Last Judgment, will not be so much one of deciding guilt or innocence - Heaven or Hell - as it is a judgment of the triumph of good over evil. Judgment in this sense would mean a vindication more than a courtroom style judgment. So, the Last Judgment is the final vindication of good over evil - the final and complete victory of good over evil that takes place at the Second Coming of Christ at the end of time.

At the Last Judgment the workings of God’s plan in salvation history, and every individuals role in that plan - for good or for evil - will be revealed to all (Catechism #677-679). Luke 12:2-3, “Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed upon the rooftops.”

God's Soon And Coming Judgment

With the recent U.S. election now behind us we are seeing what is likely the beginning of the end of the U.S.A. as we know it. The people have voted for the most part to follow the leading of a president whom is pro-abortion, pro-gay and pro-gay marriage. He is also anti-Christian, anti-Zionist but pro Muslim bowing to a king of a pro-Islamic nation. He has apologized to Muslim nations for the success of America. The success of America came about because America was founded on Biblical beliefs and principals by the founders of America who believed in the tenants of the Bible.

But, over the years the people of America have begun to turn away from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and have begun to follow the god of this world Satan. Satan is the father of lies ("and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." John 8:44 King James Version) and has been misleading people from the beginning with Adam and Eve. He has not changed the course since, nor the ways in which he deceives.

Our God is a God of mercy and is "longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Pet. 3:9 (King James Version). But, just as a loving human father cannot allow the sins of a child to go unpunished, our Heavenly Father likewise cannot allow the sins of this world to go unpunished forever. If He were to do so, what kind of a Father would He be? It is neither wise nor loving to allow sin to go unpunished. For to do so, allows the unpunished soul to think that it is okay to sin, and therefore they will continue on in their sins. An unpunished soul will not only continue on in its sins, but its heart will become hardened not wanting any longer to be told what is right and do only what is wrong and will therefore live life accordingly doing always what is  wrong. We have a recorded scenario of just such a people in Genesis 6:5 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (King James Version)
God therefore commanded Noah to build an ark (huge boat) so that his family would be saved from the coming wrath (punishment) of God upon an unrepentant people. God however is not unjust and as said above is longsuffering. An earthly parent will often give warnings of a coming punishment if a child does not stop doing something wrong. God also gave plenty of time between the time of the building of the ark to the time when the rains came for the people to change their ways. God used Noah to preach to the people. He told them that God was going to destroy the earth and all of its inhabitants with a flood because of their wickedness. But, God also extended His grace to the people.  They all had the opportunity to change their ways and join Noah and his family on the ark to avoid the coming cataclysm and to be saved. But none heeded Noah and all the peoples living on the earth at that time perished in the flood except Noah his wife, his three sons; Shem, Ham, and Japheth and their wives.

The whole world today is facing the coming judgment of God because the whole world goes on today as it always does doing its own thing, neither caring for the welfare of others nor for the care of their eternal life. For they, as Jesus prophesied"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37-39 (King James Version). If we continue to read this discourse we see how many will be taken away when the wrath of God comes upon an unrepentant people, while those like Noah, whom hath entered Noah's ark under the umbrella of belief and obedience to God, will be saved.

God, like in the days of Noah as in the days of Adam and Eve, as in the days of the several conquests of Israel, always gives plenty of prior warnings of coming judgment because of unrepentant people. Unrepentant people go on about their business daily caring nothing about the will and ways of God. They follow the lusts of the world which are the pride of life, the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh. All sins fall under these three categories.

We only need open up the daily newspaper to see the reality of this. We read of rape and murder, of robberies of unnatural sexual lusts of every imagination. We read of liars and thieves in the halls of the government and among the business elite, the lawyers. We read of wars which are nothing but the lust of others to control the lives of other in unjust, immoral ways. And this list goes on. Every day we read of the lust of many in so many different ways, grotesque imaginations played out to the death and destruction of others. These scenarios are being played out right now, at this very moment throughout the world and in America. These scenarios are being played out 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year long, day after day.
We look to our politicians and leaders to be an example of how to live. We look to our heroes in sports and in movies to show us how to live by example. But all of these are living immoral lives just Paul wrote about in Romans chapters 1 , where every imagination of evil is listed, how they have given their lives over the follow the ways and will of Satan, living out their lives in gross sins of every kind, not willing to obey god, but creating gods of their own and following the lusts thereof of these gods.

God's Wrath on Unrighteousness (Romans 1:18-32 King James Version):

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

Does this not sound exactly what is going on in the world today? Does not the America you once knew sound more like the above passage from the book of Romans?

And so, God has said that in the last days, the world will be just as in the days of Noah where every imagination of evil (sin) will be in the hearts of the people.  But, they will not be prepared for the coming of Christ to take away from the world the righteous in Christ.

Matthew 24:37-39 (King James Version):

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

But those left behind will suffer the wrath of God as outlined in various scripture passages from Daniel, Ezekiel, Jerimiah, Revelations etc. And Jesus also prophesied what signs will be that points to the last days as given in Matthew 24:5-14 (King James Version):

"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

Are we not surely now witnessing these prophetic events? Surely we are.
Jesus went so far as to outline the very first sign which will show that the beginning of the last days has indeed begun . He said in "The Parable of the Fig Tree" (Matthew 24:32-33 King James Version):

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."

The fig tree in scriptures very often refers to the nation of Israel. There when Israel became a nation in 1947-48, this was the beginning of the last days.

Jesus gave the example in scripture of the coming tribulation sign also when he talked about a woman, when she is about to deliver the child, she begins to have birth pains. Likewise when we see these signs we know that the time of His soon coming and of the soon coming of judgment upon an unrepentant world will soon begin.

When the flood began, the door to the ark was shut, so that none could enter in. Gen. 7:16 (King James Version): "And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in."

Likewise when He sends His wrath upon the earth, none whom are not of His will enter into His coming, but they that are not of His shall be shut out, with no hope of entering in.

The wrath of God is well laid out in Revelations. It will not be a time of joy and partying. It will be as Jesus said; "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."Matthew 24:21 (King James Version)

So, with all this said, we know that we are in the last days. God has been giving many warning signs with earthquakes and many other natural disasters as outlined in Matthew 24. All of the early warning signs have been prominently displayed for us. God's spokesmen and prophets have been warning of the times for a very, very long time. But as in the days of old the prophets were stoned and killed. Today likewise in many countries Christians are persecuted and killed. Unbelievers do not want to hear God's words. They would rather live as in the days of Noah and as some have said before, we shall party on for tomorrow we die. They do not want to believe in a loving gracious, judgmental God. They would rather live in denial. After all, if we deny we can do as we will, for nothing will happen if we deny.

How foolish we are as a people. To deny something just because we do not want to believe it is totally foolish. It is like when your mother says do not touch the wood stove when the fire is burning because you will get burned. You can deny and disbelieve all you want, but the fact is if you deny and disbelieve and indeed touch the hot stove, you will get burned. Adam and Eve chose to rather believe the liar than the truth giver, and learned the hard way, disobeying God and found out that they would indeed die if they disobeyed. No, they did not die immediately but they eventually did die. God does not always give out punishment immediately, but eventually you will face the consequences of your sins. You can deny all you want the truth, but that does not mean you are right and that the truths are wrong. Just because a seeing person tells a semi-blind person that the colour of the rose is red, the semi-blind person should believe the truth rather than deny the truth and argue that the rose is yellow. Yes, there are yellow roses, but likewise there are many out there who have and postulate half-truths, and many lies to deceive others. But those who outright deny because they do not want to believe what God says in the scriptures will one day know the truth because one day every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Rom. 14:11 "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." (King James Version)
"I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." Isaiah 45:23 (King James Version)

I strongly believe that we are indeed in the last days. All the signs are in place showing us this to be true. America as well as the rest of the world has been given many natural signs with the likes of many, many natural disasters and much, much more. I suggest that perhaps hurricane Sandy and the storm following it are great signs showing God's discontent with not only America's choice of an immoral president, but also because of America's continuous flagrant denial and disobedience to God. After all a president is only a reflection of the people he is leading. God puts into place and removes kings and governments at His will. The fact that He has left the current president in place shows the hardening of the hearts of the people of America and the world. After all, if the people want to deny and disobey as in Romans chapter 2, He will harden their hearts and allow them to live as the like and allow them to reap the consequences of their sins.

Is there hope for America and the world? Yes there is. God says: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

The time, however, seems to be running out. God will not allow sin to continue forever. He has laid out for us a prophesied timeline of when His judgment is coming and what the punishment and end will be. It is up to you and I now to repent and believe the simple Gospel message. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

The choice is up to you each as individuals to believe and obey and escape the coming wrath. Your denials will not save you. The people in the days of Noah denied and did not believe in the coming flood. After all, it had never rained up to that point in history. So the people would not and did not believe that a flood was coming. Deny as much as they would, it happened. History has recorded it in books and in the geology of the world over. You can deny or accept and act accordingly.

Joshua said as he was leading the people into the Promised Land; "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15 King James Version) The choice is up to you. Whom will you follow and obey? Will you follow the ways of the world and Satan, or the ways and will of God? Your choice.

My Heart

Tonight my heart is in a place where, as a child, I never thought it would ever be.

As I child I was taught to trust those in authority. As a child I was taught to respect the elders in my community. As a child I was taught to respect the government. As a child I was taught to respect my parents, my siblings, even myself.

Now, some 50 plus years later, I am no longer a child. All those whom I was taught to respect, I have no respect for. They all have been an illusion, a lie. For, to have respect of another, the other must also respect that which should accept their respect. But these have all let me down. There is no respect among my fellow human beings, one to another.

I look across the seas, and I see disrespect between nations, one to another. I see across the seas, that the people within these other nations likewise have no respect for one another. So, logically this would lead me to believe that disrespect is not just a local problem, but a worldwide problem.

As a child I was taught that we are to love one another. But watching the news, reading the newspapers, hearing the talk of others, one to another on the street, shows me that we do not love one another.

If we all loved one another, if we all respected one another, would we lie, steal cheat, hurt, diss one another, call others names, cause division between each other  etc. Apparently we do. Because I hear the phrase everywhere, "I love you." Is it a lie? I think perhaps it is a lie. It is a deception, being manipulated by the god of this world.

Satan from the time of Adam and Eve has been playing with people's minds all over the world. He manipulates situations to make it appear that what we say, think, hear, do is all right and wonderful. Is it all right and wonderful when there is no love, no respect between fellow human beings? I think not.

Tonight as I read the headlines and heard of the terrible tragedy in Connecticut, where a young man shot and killed 20 innocent children, his mother and others, my heart was grieved. I was reminded of the many shootings in recent years, where young men shoot others, massively and otherwise for no apparent reasons. I was reminded that my theory that there is no love, no respect for others is true.

Scripture tells us that in the last days, it would be like this. It tells us that as it was in the days of Noah, likewise it would be here on earth in these last days. For then, as in now, men's hearts were bent on all things evil continually. And so it would appear to be true.

The source of evil, though begun by Satan, also lives in our hearts. There is no good thing in our hearts, there is none good the Scriptures tell us.
Is this our fate? To be a dying world, where evil will triumph and that man would destroy himself as some have predicted?

It is said, that a young man who had been playing basketball, upon entering the change room to take a shower, found the janitor sitting on a bench reading the Bible. He asked the older man: "Do you understand what you are reading? Do you believe it?" The janitor replied, "yes I understand and believe. In the end we win!"

Do we win, on our own strength? Or is there another whom will lead the battle and lead us in the charge, lead us to victory? Or are we doomed to see our own destruction, with the world being destroyed by the thousands of nuclear bombs that are scattered among the nations?  Will this be our end?  Will this be our legacy to be found maybe millions of years from now from another race, another planet, when perhaps they scrape through the ashes and discover a planet that destroyed itself because there was no respect, no love among its inhabitants?

If I were to come up with another word which describes the malady of this planet, it would be pride. It was pride that caused the adversaries downfall. It is pride that is behind every source of evil. For it is because the world all over which cries "Me, mine, I," that there is evil in this world. It is because of pride that there is no respect, no love between the nations, between individuals.

Shall I cry myself to sleep tonight fearing that Satan has won the battle, that there is no hope for this fallen world? Shall I bend over and kiss my butt goodbye? For today I party on, tomorrow I die.

Thankfully, the janitor is right, we win, or rather should I say we become the victors, for we have an advocate in Jesus Christ whom has already won the war. The end has already been proclaimed. The victory has been won. It is just a matter of the Great Judge to pass sentence on Satan and his followers.

Once that is done, there will be no more tears, no more pain, no more hate. Love will reign, pride will be no more. Disrespect will have been vanquished.
Have you read the book? Have you believed in the One in Whom will be our hero, our King, our Lord and Savior?

What will you do with Jesus? That after all is the ultimate question. Will you love and respect Him, or will you chase after pride and meet your own destruction?

Now, that I have surveyed the beginning to the end, I am no longer saddened, but am filled with joy, knowing like as the janitor knew, we win.
However, there is still one last point. Shall I wait till the Lord comes to respect and love my fellow inhabitants on this earth? Or shall I repent and have a change of heart and begin now to have respect and love for my neighbor?

As I child I was taught to trust those in authority. As a child I was taught to respect the elders in my community. As a child I was taught to respect the government. As a child I was taught to respect my parents, my siblings, even myself.

Yes, I point my finger at myself when I say there is no respect and love in this world. I too am guilty, I too have a prideful heart.

But, to Him I owe, my love, my respect, my devotion, my loyalty till we shall meet Him in eternity because of the cross. How about you?

A Biblical Bucket List for Believers: Fifty Things for the Faithful to Fortify and Finalize According to Scripture

By: Msgr. Charles Pope

In the last few years the phrase “Bucket List” has come into the American lexicon. A bucket list is a list of this to accomplish before you die. There is some sort of TV show related to this that I have never seen, but from the few snips I have seen, it is mostly about frivolous, even unpleasant stuff.

But for the Christian the Scriptures announce a number of things that we well out to have either done or have up and running long before we die. Our goal is to die in an act of loving God, to die in the life giving transformation relationship we we call faith. And our prayer is that grace and mercy have had the necessary affects to make us ready to go home and be with God.

The list that I present here is modified by me a bit, but in essence not original to me. It comes from Joel Meredith’s Complete Book of Bible Lists: A One-of-a-Kind Collection of Bible Facts. Consider well this bucket list and share it with others. Are you ready to go meet God? Let’s see.

1.    It becomes us to fulfill all righteousness (Matthew 3:15).

2.    Live, not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

3.    Worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve (Matthew 4:10).

4.    Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

5.    Repent and believe the Good News! (Mark 1:15)

6.    You must be born again through baptism (John 3:7).

7.    Worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

8.    Repent and be baptized (Acts 2:38).

9.    Take and Eat, This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me (Mark 14:22).

10.    Reckon yourselves dead unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:11).

11.    Present your bodies a living sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1).

12.    Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit (1 Corinthians 6:20).

13.    Desire spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 14:1).

14.    Stand fast in the faith (1 Corinthians 16:13).

15.    Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:30).

18.    Rejoice in the Lord (Philippians 3:1).

19.    Set your heart on things above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God, rather than things of earth  (Colossians 3:1–2).

20.    Let the peace of God rule in your heart (Colossians 3:15).

21.    Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).

22.    Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father through him (Colossians 3:17).

23.    Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

24.    In everything give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

25.    Do not neglect your spiritual gift (1 Timothy 4:14).

26.    Lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:12).

27.    Be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord (2 Timothy 1:8).

28.    Strive to enter into the rest of the people of God (Hebrews 4:11).

29.    Hold fast to your profession of faith without wavering (Hebrews 10:23).

30.    The just shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38).

31.    Keep Holy the Sabbath, do not neglect to Meet together each Sunday (Heb 10:25).

32.    Despise not the correction of the Lord, for whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives (Hebrews 12:5–6).

33.    Make straight paths for your feet, Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:13-14).

34.    Refuse not Him who speaks and warns from heaven (Hebrews 12:25).

35.    Offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrews 13:15).

36.    Receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21).

39.    Declare your sins by regular celebration of Confession (John 20:21-23; James 5:13).

40.    Declare with your lips that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. (Romans 10:9)

41.    Sanctify the Lord God in your heart (1 Peter 3:15).

42.    Commit the keeping of your soul to God in well doing (1 Peter 4:19).

43.    Cast all your care upon him, for he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

44.    Look for and hasten the coming of the Day of Lord (2 Peter 3:12).

45.    Devote yourself to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)

46.    Build up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (Jude 20).

47.    Keep yourselves in the love of God (Jude 21).

48.    Remember from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works (Revelation 2:5).

49.    Fear God, and give glory to him (Revelation 14:7).

50.    Worship him that made heaven, and earth, and sea, and the fountains of waters (Revelation 14:7).

OK, there it is, the Bucket List. See to it now. If you would like to print it out, here is a PDF of the document: A Biblical Bucket List for Believers.

I am sure some of you willhttp://blog.adw.org/2013/04/a-biblical-bucket-list-for-beleivers-fifty-things-for-the-faithful-to-fortify-and-finalize-according-to-scripture/ wish to add. But if you do add, what would you subtract? 50 is kind of a handy number. By the way, the short list is always Acts 2:42:

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching (Scripture)

and to fellowship (Church attendance),

to the Breaking of Bread (Eucharist and all the Sacraments)

and to prayer (liturgical and private).

Finally the Book of James says, Adulterers! don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (James 4:4) And in this light, the bucket list helps us to forsake our inordinate love of this world and turn to God our true Love.

Global Revolution!

…the order of the world is shaken. (Psalm 82:5)

WHEN I wrote about Revolution! two years ago, it was not a word being used much in the mainstream. But today, it is being spoken everywhere… and now, the words “global revolution” are rippling throughout the world. From the “Tea Party” revolution in the United States to the uprisings in the Middle East that are spreading like “a virus,” there is indeed a global upheaval underway.

I will rouse Egypt against Egypt: brother will war against brother, neighbour against neighbour, city against city, kingdom against kingdom. (Isaiah 19:2)

But it is a Revolution that has been in the making for a very long time…

From the very beginning, the Sacred Scriptures have foretold of a worldwide revolution, a political-philosophical process that, as we know now, stretches like an enormous thundercloud over the landscape of centuries. The prophet Daniel ultimately foresaw that the rise and fall of many kingdoms would eventually culminate in the ascent of a global empire. He saw it in a vision like a “beast”:

The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, different from all the others; it shall devour the whole earth, beat it down, and crush it. The ten horns shall be ten kings rising out of that kingdom; another shall rise up after them, different from those before him, who shall lay low three kings. (Daniel 7:23-24)

St. John, also wrote down a similar vision of this global force in his Apocalypse:

Then I saw a beast come out of the sea with ten horns and seven heads; on its horns were ten diadems, and on its heads blasphemous name(s)… Fascinated, the whole world followed after the beast… and it was granted authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and nation. (Rev 13:1,3,7)

The Early Church Fathers (Irenaeus, Tertullian, Hippolytus, Cyprian, Cyril, Lactantius, Chrysostom, Jerome, and Augustine) unamimously recognized this beast to be the Roman Empire. It would collapse, and from it would rise these “ten kings”.

But this aforesaid Antichrist is to come when the times of the Roman empire shall have been fulfilled, and the end of the world is now drawing near. There shall rise up together ten kings of the Romans, reigning in different parts perhaps, but all about the same time… —St. Cyril of Jerusalem, (c. 315-386), Doctor of the Church, Catechetical Lectures, Lecture XV, n.12

These “ten kings” have yet to arise, as the Roman Empire, which extended throughout Europe and even into Africa and the Middle East, has been divided throughout the centuries. It is from these “ruins” that the “ten kings” will come.

I grant that as Rome, according to the prophet Daniel’s vision, succeeded Greece, so Antichrist succeeds Rome, and our Savior Christ succeeds Antichrist. But it does not hence follow that Antichrist is come; for I do not grant that the Roman empire is gone. Far from it: the Roman empire remains even to this day… And as the horns, or kingdoms, still exist, as a matter of fact, consequently we have not yet seen the end of the Roman empire. —Blessed Cardinal John Henry Newman (1801-1890), The Times of Antichrist, Sermon 1

It was in fact Jesus who described the turmoil that would set the stage for the rise of this beast:

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…

Kingdom against kingdom denotes strife within a nation: civil discord… revolution. In fact, the creation of this discord would be precisely the game plan of the “dragon,” Satan, who will give his power over to the beast (Rev 13:2).

There are many conspiracy theories swirling about these days. But what is not conspiracy—according to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church—is that there are secret societies operating in the background of daily national life throughout the world, working to bring about a new order in which the controlling members of these societies will eventually attempt to rule (watch We Were Warned).

While being hosted in a private chalet in France a couple of years ago, I stumbled across the only English book I could find on their shelves: “Secret Societies and Subversive Movements.” It was written by controversial historian Nesta Webster (c. 1876-1960) who wrote extensively on the Illuminati1: a group of powerful men often immersed in the occult, who through the generations, have actively worked to bring about a Communist world domination. She points to their active role in bringing about the French Revolution, the 1848 Revolution, the First World War and the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, which marked the beginning of Communism in modern times (and remains in various forms today in in North Korea, China, and other socialist countries with an underlying philosophy of Marxism.) As I point out in my book, The Final Confrontation, the modern form of these secret societies have drawn their impetus from the ill-formed philosophies of the Enlightenment era. These were the “seeds” of Global Revolution that today are in full bloom (deism, rationalism, materialism, scientism, atheism, marxism, communism, etc.).

But a philosophy is only words until it is put into practice.

The organization of the Secret Societies was needed to transform the theorizings of the philosophers into a concrete and formidable system for the destruction of civilization. —Nesta Webster, World Revolution, p. 4

Ordo Ab Chaos means “Order out of Chaos.” It is the Latin motto of 33rd degree Freemasons, a secret sect that has been outright condemned by the Catholic Church due to their perennially illicit goals and more insidious rites and laws in the higher degrees:

You are aware indeed, that the goal of this most iniquitous plot is to drive people to overthrow the entire order of human affairs and to draw them over to the wicked theories of this Socialism and Communism… —POPE PIUS IX, Nostis et Nobiscum, Encyclical, n. 18, DECEMBER 8, 1849

And so, now we see on the horizon a Global Revolution…

At this period, however, the partisans of evil seems to be combining together, and to be struggling with united vehemence, led on or assisted by that strongly organized and widespread association called the Freemasons. No longer making any secret of their purposes, they are now boldly rising up against God Himself …that which is their ultimate purpose forces itself into view—namely, the utter overthrow of that whole religious and political order of the world which the Christian teaching has produced, and the substitution of a new state of things in accordance with their ideas, of which the foundations and laws shall be drawn from mere naturalism. —POPE LEO XIII, Humanum Genus, Encyclical on Freemasonry, n.10, Apri 20thl, 1884

As I wrote in Of China, this is precisely why Our Lady of Fatima was sent to warn humanity: that our present path would result in Russia spreading “her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church,” paving the way for the rise of global Communism. Is this the beast of Revelation who enslaves all of mankind?

…without the guidance of charity in truth, this global force could cause unprecedented damage and create new divisions within the human family… humanity runs new risks of enslavement and manipulation.. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Caritas in Veritate, n.33, 26

One might ask, though, how even the Mother of God could prevent the rise of this beast. The answer is that she can’t. But she can delay it through our prayers. The apocalyptic intervention of the “Woman clothed in the sun” to delay the rise of this beast by calling for our prayers and sacrifice is nothing short of an echo from the early Church:

There is also another and a greater necessity for our offering prayer on behalf of the emperors… For we know that a mighty shock [is] impending over the whole earth—in fact, the very end of all things threatening dreadful woes—is only retarded by the continued existence of the Roman empire. We have no desire, then, to be overtaken by these dire events; and in praying that their coming may be delayed, we are lending our aid to Rome’s duration.—Tertullian (c. 160–225 AD), Church Fathers, Apology, Chapter 32

Who can argue that this Global Revolution has been postponed in so far as the timeline of Divine Mercy has permitted? Pope St. Pius X thought the Antichrist was already alive—in 1903. It was in 1917 that Our Lady of Fatima appeared. It was in 1972 that Paul VI admitted the “smoke of Satan” had seeped into the very summit of the Church—an allusion, many have interpreted, to Freemasonry having infiltrated the hierarchy itself.

In the 19th century, French priest and writer, Fr. Charles Arminjon summarized the prevailing “signs of the times” that have formed the foundation for our own:

…if we study but a moment the signs of the present time, the menacing symptoms of our political situation and revolutions, as well as the progress of civilization and the increasing advance of evil, corresponding to the progress of civilization and the discoveries in the material order, we cannot fail to foresee the proximity of the coming of the man of sin, and of the days of desolation foretold by Christ. —Fr. Charles Arminjon (c. 1824 -1885), The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life, p. 58, Sophia Institute Press

The basis of Fr. Charles’ statement is the same as several of the pontiffs who have pointed out that the efforts of secret societies to infiltrate and concretize the errant philosophies of the Enlightenment within society has led to an apostasy within the Church and re-emergence of paganism in the world:

Who can fail to see that society is at the present time, more than in any past age, suffering from a terrible and deep-rooted malady which, developing every day and eating into its inmost being, is dragging it to destruction? You understand, Venerable Brethren, what this disease is—apostasy from God… —POPE ST. PIUS X, E Supremi, Encyclical On the Restoration of All Things in Christ, n. 3; October 4th, 1903

We cannot calmly accept the rest of humanity falling back again into paganism. —Cardinal Ratzinger (POPE BENEDICT XVI), The New Evangelization, Building the Civilization of Love; Address to Catechists and Religion Teachers, December 12, 2000

In a footnote, Fr. Charles adds:

…if the defection continues on its course, it may be predicted that this war on God must inevitably end in total, consumated apostasy. It is but a small step from the cult of the state—that is, the utilitarian spirit and the worship of the god-state which is the religion of our time, to the worship of the individual man. We have almost reached that point… —The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life, footnote n. 40, p. 72; Sophia Institute Press

Our current Pope warned that we have reached that point:

We cannot deny that the rapid changes occurring in our world also present some disturbing signs of fragmentation and a retreat into individualism. The expanding use of electronic communications has in some cases paradoxically resulted in greater isolation. Many people—including the young—are seeking therefore more authentic forms of community. Also of grave concern is the spread of a secularist ideology that undermines or even rejects transcendent truth. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, speech at St. Joseph’s Church, April 8th, 2008, Yorkville, New York; Catholic News Agency

Vladimir Solovëv, in his famous A Short Story of the Anti-Christ,2 was inspired by the early eastern Church Fathers.

Pope John Paul II praised Solovëv for his insights and prophetic vision3. In his fictional short story, the Antichrist, who becomes the incarnation of narcissism, writes a compelling book that reaches across every political and religious spectrum. In the Antichrist’s book…

Absolute individualism stood side by side with an ardent zeal for the common good. —A Short Story of the Anti-Christ, Vladimir Solovëv

Indeed, these two elements in Solovëv’s prophetic vision have merged today in a deadly blend called “relativism” whereby the ego becomes the standard by which good and evil are determined, and the floating concept of “tolerance” is held as a virtue.

Having a clear faith, according to the credo of the Church, is often labeled as fundamentalism. Yet, relativism, that is, letting oneself be tossed and ‘swept along by every wind of teaching’, appears the sole attitude acceptable to today’s standards. —Cardinal Ratzinger (POPE BENEDICT XVI) pre-conclave Homily, April 18th, 2005

This rejection of moral authority, fueled further by scandals within both secular and religious institutions, has created a generation that will accept anything and believe nothing. The danger of our times is that the Global Revolution underway (which likely won’t fully impact the West until it impacts our stomachs) risks paving the way for an ungodly solution to the growing anger and frustration against both Church and secular political institutions. It is easy to see that populations, particularly the youth, are growing hostile toward politicians and popes alike. The question, then, is who exactly are the people willing to have lead them in the face of a global meltdown? The Great Vacuum of leadership and morals alike has indeed put “the very future of the world at stake,” as Pope Benedict recently said. Given the right circumstances of civil unrest, food shortages, and war—all of which seem more and more inevitable—would indeed put the world in a place that risks “enslavement and manipulation.”

Ultimatley, atheism cannot be an answer (4). Man is by nature a religious being. We were created for God, and thus, deep within, thirst for Him. In Solovëv’s story, he envisions a time when the current trend of today’s new atheism will run its course:

The notion of the universe as a system of dancing atoms, and of life as the result of mechanical accumulation of the slightest changes in material no longer satisfied a single reasoning intellect. —A Short Story of the Anti-Christ, Vladimir Solovëv

The architects of the New World Order intend to satiate this religious desire in man with a utopian world more in harmony with nature, the cosmos, and “the christ” within (see The Coming Counterfeit). A “world religion” uniting all faiths and creeds (that will accept anything and believe nothing) is one of the stated goals of the secret societies behind a Global Revolution. From the Vatican’s website:

[the] New Age shares with a number of internationally influential groups, the goal of superseding or transcending particular religions in order to create space for a universal religion which could unite humanity… The New Age which is dawning will be peopled by perfect, androgynous beings who are totally in command of the cosmic laws of nature. In this scenario, Christianity has to be eliminated and give way to a global religion and a new world order. —Jesus Christ, The Bearer of the Water of Life, n. 2.5 , Pontifical Councils for Culture and Inter-religious Dialogue

Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824), a German Augustinian nun and stigmatist, had a profound vision in which she saw Masons attempting to tear down the wall of St. Peter’s in Rome.

There were among the demolishers distinguished men wearing uniforms and crosses. They did not work themselves but they marked out on the wall with a trowel [Masonic symbol] where and how it should be torn down. To my horror, I saw among them Catholic Priests. Whenever the workmen did not know how to go on, they went to a certain one in their party. He had a large book which seemed to contain the whole plan of the building and the way to destroy it. They marked out exactly with a trowel the parts to be attacked, and they soon came down. They worked quietly and confidently, but slyly, furtively and warily. I saw the Pope praying, surrounded by false friends who often did the very opposite to what he had ordered… —Life of Anne Catherine Emmerich, Vol. 1, by Rev. K.E. Schmöger, Tan Books, 1976, p. 565

Rising in place of St. Peter’s, she saw a new religious movement5:

I saw enlightened Protestants, plans formed for the blending of religious creeds, the suppression of papal authority… I saw no Pope, but a bishop prostrate before the High Altar. In this vision I saw the church bombarded by other vessels… It was threatened on all sides… They built a large, extravagant church which was to embrace all creeds with equal rights… but in place of an altar were only abomination and desolation. Such was the new church to be… —Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824 A.D.), The Life and Revelations of Anne Catherine Emmerich, April 12th, 1820

Those behind this, says Pope Leo XIII, come under varying philosophies, but all from the same ancient satanic root: the belief that man can take the place of God (2 Thess 2:4).

We speak of that sect of men who… are called socialists, communists, or nihilists, and who, spread over all the world, and bound together by the closest ties in a wicked confederacy, no longer seek the shelter of secret meetings, but, openly and boldly marching forth in the light of day, strive to bring to a head what they have long been planning—the overthrow of all civil society whatsoever. Surely, these are they who, as the sacred Scriptures testify, ‘Defile the flesh, despise dominion and blaspheme majesty.’ (Jud. 8).” — POPE LEO XIII, Encyclical Quod Apostolici Muneris, December 28, 1878, n. 1

How can we fail to understand the times we live in, unfolding before our very eyes on live internet streams and 24 hour cable news? It’s not just the protests in Asia, the chaos in Greece, the food riots in Albania or the unrest in Europe, but also, if not especially, the rising tide of anger in the United States. One almost gets the impression at times that “someone” or some plan is purposely driving the populace to the brink of revolution. Whether it’s billion dollar bailouts to Wall Street, million dollar payouts to CEO’s, driving the national debt to treacherous levels, the endless printing of money, or the growing infringement on personal rights in the name of “national security,” the anger and anxiety within the country is palpable. As a grassroots movement called “The Tea Party” grows6, unemployment remains high, food prices rise, and gun sales reach record levels, the recipe for revolution is already brewing.  Behind it all, again, seems to be the pervasive and powerful figures hidden from the scene who continue to meet in secret societies such as the Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove, Rosicrucians etc.:

Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. —President Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom, Ch. 1

Brothers and sisters, what I have written here is difficult to absorb. It is the expanse of thousands of years of history appearing to culminate in our times: the ancient confrontation between the Woman and the Dragon of Genesis 3:15 and Revelation 12…

We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through… We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel and the anti-Gospel. —Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (JOHN PAUL II), at the Eucharistic Congress, Philadelphia, PA; August 13, 1976

The convulsions in nature… the growing apostasy… the words of the Holy Fathers… the apparitions of Our Lady… how can the signs be any clearer? And yet, how much longer will these revolutions and labor pains carry on? Years? Decades? We do not know, nor does it matter. What is essential is that we respond to Heaven’s requests being revealed to us through both the Woman-Mary and the Woman-Church. In his Encyclical Letter on Atheistic Communism, Pope Pius XI summarized the imperative before each and every conscientious Christian—one we can no longer ignore:

When the Apostles asked the Savior why they had been unable to drive the evil spirit from a demoniac, Our Lord answered: “This kind is not cast out but by prayer and fasting.” So, too, the evil which today torments humanity can be conquered only by a world-wide crusade of prayer and penance. We ask especially the Contemplative Orders, men and women, to redouble their prayers and sacrifices to obtain from heaven efficacious aid for the Church in the present struggle. Let them implore also the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Virgin who, having crushed the head of the serpent of old, remains the sure protectress and invincible “Help of Christians.” —POPE PIUS XI, Encyclical Letter on Atheistic Communism, March 19th, 1937

False Teachers

In the last days there will be false prophets, false teachers and those whom willingly seek out those who teach what their itching ears want to hear. This is really nothing new. This kind of stuff was going on in the days of Jesus and before. He, Jesus said that in the very last days, it would become worse. We are living in those very last days.

When I was in Bible college I was always alert, being careful to discern what I was taught against the teachings that I was hearing. That is not to say I did not receive good teachings, but on occasion I did not always agree with what I was taught and what I believed the scriptures taught. I would sometimes have to do as the good Berians in the book of Acts to go on my own and see if what I was taught agreed with scripture. This is a good way to be sure what you are being told agrees with scripture.

You, likewise may have been taught some bad teachings. That is not your fault. It is good to see that the Holy Spirit has given you the discernment to likewise see that in the past you have been taught some false teachings.,

When one receives bad counsel, likewise it not his own fault. To learn the truth is the way of Christ.

A Dream of the Lord?

(Scripture taken from the New King James Version®. Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. Used by permission. All rights reserved.)

I am not one to hold that dreams have any significance as a rule. At least, not for me. But on occasion one may come along that may influence my world view or other important aspects of my life.

Before I continue, I would like it to be known that God in times past and perhaps even today does and has given dreams to prophets and others which were terrifically important and significant. For example we read in the Book of Daniel “But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in later days. Your dream, and visions of your head upon your bed, were these.” Dan. 2:28

Here Daniel proceeds to tell the king a prophecy illustrated by a statue which King Nebuchadnezzar saw in a vision, a dream. The prophecy was what will transpire from that time forward till the last days. That is to say that 5 world empires will dominate the world beginning with King Nebuchadnezzar represented as a head of gold and ending with the Roman Empire followed by the final Kingdom of God. Dan. 2:31-45
This prophecy has largely been fulfilled, but not completely. King Nebuchadnezzar was the first ruler, ruling from Babylon, Dan. 2:37-38;7 :1-4, followed by Media-Persia Dan. 7:5, 8:20 then Grecian Empire ruled by Alexander the Great Dan.2:39; 7:6; 8:21. Next was the Roman Empire Dan. 2:40-43Dan. 7:7, this has largely been fulfilled but part is yet to pass. And lastly the Final world Empire, the Kingdom of Heaven ruled by none other than God Himself, Jesus Christ. Dan. 2:44-45

Through dreams God will sometimes give instructions as to what He wants others to do for His purposes.

Job 33:15-16 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds,16 Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their

Matthew20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Some dreams given by the Lord have good outcomes, while others do not. Most of us are familiar with the dreams of Joseph while he was in prison falsely charged with raping Potiphar’s wife.

5 Then the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison, had a dream, both of them, each man’s dream in one night and each man’s dream with its own interpretation. 6 And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad. 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”
8 And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.”
So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.”
9 Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was before me, 10 and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes. 11 Then Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”
12 And Joseph said to him, “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days. 13 Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler. 14 But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house. 15 For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and there were three white baskets on my head. 17 In the uppermost basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”
18 So Joseph answered and said, “This is the interpretation of it: The three baskets are three days. 19 Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.” Genesis 40:5-18

So, last night I had a dream which impacted me and has caused me to reflect on my sins of late and what I should do about it. Like many dreams I have, I cannot recall the whole thing, but the last part stood out.

I was dreaming about an old friend whom I have not seen in many years. The last time I did see him I had the opportunity to witness to him and he came to church with me once. In this dream I was again witnessing to him at one point. In the dream itself I found myself sleeping and having a dream within my dream. (Victor is the name of my friend, please pray for his salvation)

In this particular dream God showed me a bunch of skeletons dressed in robes revealing their bones beneath. I was immediately reminded of the prophecy of Israel whom would return to their land after having been dispersed for a few thousand years. The following prophecy shows not only will the people of Israel return to their own land, but that they will also in the last days return to the Lord as believers, following and obeying God.

The Dry Bones Live (Ezekiel chpt. 37:1-14)
37 The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.” 4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the LORD.”’” 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. 9 Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. 11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’”

The following verses likewise show and prophecy that the twelve tribes of Israel shall be re-gathered to rejoin Israel as may many of the gentile nations will likewise do, turning to the Lord God, following and obeying Him.

One Kingdom, One King (Ezekiel 37:15-28)
15 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 16 “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’ 17 Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand. 18 “And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’— 19 say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.”’ 20 And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes. 21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. 24 “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. 25 Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 28 The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”’”

What this reminded me of in my dream, is that I, like the people of Israel of old, am a sinner, often running away from God, doing my own thing.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6

I am worthy of death, having my flesh to rot away, never to be ever again welcomed into His presence. I, a sinner am worthy of death.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

But God does not leave us hanging in the wind to die of our sins. If we are faithful to confess our sins and return to Him, 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God has promised to re-gather His people Israel, and draw them back to Him, making them a nation again, which He has already done, but he goes one step further in drawing them back to Him spiritually so that they will worship Him, and He will be their God once again.

God has offered Jesus Christ to pay the penalty of my sins, so that I may enjoy eternity with Him, to be freed once and for all from the influences of sin.

John3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

What this vision of dry bones also reminded me of is that though we may sin now, I must remember that God will not allow us to get away with our sins completely. God punished Israel by dispersing them from their land because of their constant returning to idol’s and because of their habitual sins and unbelief. But, He has promised to restore them back to their land and back into His fold.

How Jesus lamented over Israel.
Matt. 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!”

Likewise He laments over us when we turn away from Him. With a vision like that, I am compelled firstly to confess my sins before Him and to repent fully, not repeating the same sins over and over again.

Let us not be like Israel of old continuing on in our sins, but repent less we become like them, being nothing more than a people of dry bones clothed in unrighteousness.
The days are getting shorter. The hand drawing is on the wall. It is not too difficult to see that we are in the last days as prophesied by Jesus.

Matt. Chpt. 24
Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple
24 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what willbe the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceivesyou. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ andwill deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Seethat you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, andkingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning ofsorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and youwill be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many willbe offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And becauselawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’[c] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. 23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Parable of the Fig Tree
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it[d] is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven,[e] but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour[f] your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

The Faithful Servant and the Evil Servant
45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’[g] 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Do not wait till it is too late to change your ways. Do not be as the slothful virgins, unwise virgins of Matt. 25;1-13.

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins
25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming;[a] go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour[b] in which the Son of Man is coming.?”

Be assured, He is coming soon. Will He come and find you unprepared. Will He come and find you in some uncompromising situation in which  you will be ashamed?
Get ready now, repent once and for all of your sins.

Luke 21:28
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
