Should I take part in a public discussion in our Church about our life in the parish in light of Vatican II?
Well, basically there is nothing to be said against that. However, make sure the discussion is being held in small group settings (a reasonable discussion about this is simply not possible among a big crowd) and also that the organizers made sure beforehand that the participants got to read the documents of Vatican II. Because if that is not the case, I would be very cautious and ask myself why the organizers want to discuss something the church congregation has no clue about. That would leave much room for spiritual abuse - whether they want it or not.
