Just saw part of a Stryper live video (a "Christian" Heavy Metal band). How come people in the audience make the sign of the devil during the show. To me this has nothing to do with Christianity. I love Hard and Heavy music, but Stryper to me are just an average Heavy Metal band. They could just as well sing out of the phone book. The lyrics just don't go along with the music and the "Christian message" (if there is any) to me does not look authentic at all.

I am so ticked off by all those "Christian rock bands" - emphasis on "rock" of course. To me they are nothing more than rock stars with a Christian touch. I know that sounds hard and that some of them have good intentions - but the enemy of "good" is "good intentioned". In a time where we should get ourselves ready to light the holy fire in us and to call for a holy revolution, they are singing stuff everybody can live with because it sounds so nice and "uplifting" - and yet nobody takes offense and it doesn't feed anybody either. I just listened to one of those CDs I still have. The message is pretty lukewarm - and as to the music: if I want good music, I listen to secular bands. They can do that a whole lot better.
